One simple recipe that my family loves is an avocado toast. You can eat it at any time of the day, breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is not just any avocado toast.
Get yourself fresh sourdough bread and have them slice it for you. If you can’t find fresh bread you can go with the frozen kind, which I personally prefer. The one i buy is the Berlin Natural Bakery, Sourdough SPELT bread. Recipe:
-1 slice of bread
-1/2 a hass avocado
-1 key lime (the tiny ones with seeds)
-1/8 tsp of sea salt
-1/8 tsp of onion powder
-1/2 plum tomato
-a slice of red onions (more if your prefer)
-two stems of cilantro
-handful of mixed greens.
-1/8 tsp of olive oil
Mash half a hass avocado then dice red onions, plum tomato and cilantro. Add those to the mashed avocado. Then add the sea-salt and the onion powder (add more if you think it needs more). Then season it with the sea salt and the onion powder. Lastly squeeze HALF of the key lime (save the other half for the mixed greens). Mix it all with a spoon.
Place the toasted slice of bread on your plate. Put the mixed greens on top of the bread. Pour the olive oil on top and then squeeze the other half of the key lime on the greens. Then spread the avocado mix on top of the greens with a spoon. You have yourself a nice meal that you can pair up with some fruit. ENJOY!! Let me know if you try this recipe.
